Providing quality, comprehensive Occupational Therapy services within Central QLD.
Focus Occupational Therapy provides a face-to-face, community-based service across Central QLD. I can provide comprehensive services including assessments for home modifications, assistive technology, vehicle modifications and functional capacity. I provide a home-visiting service within Central QLD or further afield via video or negotiated travel.
A home that doesn't meet your needs can be a major barrier to independence and safety. From minor to complex, I have extensive experience assessing all aspects of the home environment and providing recommendations and the clinical justification required for funding bodies, including the NDIS. I work with a range of builders in Central QLD to acheive the best possible outcomes for safety and independence.
Whether you require modifications to travel in a vehicle or to transport a wheelchair or scooter, I will work with you and vehicle modifiers to identify the right option for you. Providing the necessary reports, I can assist with the process of applying for funding for vehicle modifications.
A functional capacity assessment can be a useful process to obectively identify and communicate opportunities to maximise independence and participation in the community. Through this process I can provide a detailed and meaningful report, often required by funding bodies, that recommends the supports required to maximise function and safety.
Several sources of funding may be available to contribute to the cost of services. Focus Occupational Therapy is a Registered NDIS Provider and can provide services no matter how your NDIS Plan is managed.
Focus Occupational Therapy is also Medicare registered. Depending on your circumstances, assistance may be available through Medicare, private health insurance or My Aged Care.
